Public Sector Performance Assessment:

This paper aims to identify the international literature approaches regarding subject of performance evaluation public sector. Within a qualitative approach, this research applies ProKnow-C method select bibliographic portfolio (BP). It was uncovered theoretical framework that discloses evolution in sector and then reports, specifically, steps review, which also contributes, as guide, improvement scientific reviews general. In manuscript, 39 papers were selected out first search resulted 2228 papers. Basic advanced bibliometric analysis performed some particularities area like authors, most quoted journals, besides specific concerns sector, such need for appraisal fostering organizational strategy.
